Month at the Museum

Today I went to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago with my family!  We went to see Jim Henson’s Fantastic World.

There is also someone living in the museum!  It is part of a promotion of the museum.  She has been tweeting and blogging about her experiences!  You can see her blog here.  It was really neat.

I took a picture of her office.  She calls it the cube.

She works there, but has a private sleeping area.  She also has other random things she has to do while she is there!  She had a lot of roaming time this time.

I went with my parents, my cousin and one of her friends.

This is my cousin.

This is her friend.  One of the workers asked us to separate this nail contraption.  Caitlin managed to do it, but it took her like 5 minutes.  We got some buttons for it!

We went to a lot of the exhibits at the museum!  One really cool one was Fast Forward, Inventing the Future.  It had all of these neat ideas and models from inventors!  It had some interesting things.

This was a hug shirt. The idea is that you can send a message from someone.  The sensors simulate a hug with heat and tightness.

Another neat one was a tower farm!

I think this idea is really neat!

We ate at the food court for lunch.  It was pretty good for a food court!

I had mac and cheese, mashed sweet potatoes, and broccoli.

I also bought this giant gummy bear.

All in all, it was a fun day!

OMG! I love the hug shirt!! Wouldn’t that be awesome…every time we gave someone ((())) on the WW boards, it could actually ‘feel’ like we were giving them a hug.
